All 100 infrastructure projects are set to break ground within the term of the Duterte administration, and 30% will be completed by then, Presidential adviser for flagship programs and projects Vivencio Dizon said Monday.
“We are committed to start all,” Dizon, who is also president and CEO of the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA), told reporters in an interview in Quezon City.
All the 100 flagship projects would have completed groundbreaking by June 2022, the end of the term of President Rodrigo Duterte, said Dizon.
“That’s the plan. That’s what we are striving to do, cause we really need it,” he explained.
Last month, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board approved a revised list of 100 infrastructure projects, an increase from the earlier list of 75.
Dizon said that 30% of the big ticket projects will be completed by the time Duterte steps down from office.
“I think a little over 30%. We’re looking at a little over 30%,” he said.
“I think 56 ‘yung matatapos by 2022. A lot of them will also be at the end of 2022, so that’s not anymore during the term of the President. But I think within the term of the president, we’re looking at anywhere between 35, 38, something like that,” Dizon added. —VDS, GMA News
