SM MANAGEMENT COLLABORATES WITH THE CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SM CITY LA UNION
To come up with a better building design and functionality for the soon-to-rise SM City La Union, the SM Management, together with the concerned City Government Department Heads and Employees conducted a meeting at the Mayor's Conference Room earlier today, July 20, 2022.
Led by City Administrator Col. Ramon F. Laudencia and City Planning and Development Officer Mr. Brix Caesar Cafuir, the City Government presented relevant data, recommendations, and points for consideration such as traffic data, solid waste management plan, and consideration of culture and aesthetic identity of the province in the design and architecture for the much-anticipated mall in the city of San Fernando.
Furthermore, SM Management reiterated that they will be an active partner of the City Government with its different activities or projects geared towards sustainable development given that this partnership will be a long-time investment.
The target date for the construction of SM City La Union will be on January 2023 and aims to be operational by the third quarter of 2024. The Mall will occupy a 6.2-hectare land area located in barangay Biday, City of San Fernando, La Union.
