EDSA-bound lanes on North Avenue closed to traffic from March 21-22
The EDSA-bound lanes of North Avenue in Quezon City will be closed to traffic starting late night of March 21(Thursday) until early morning of March 22 (Friday), according to an advisory from the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
The closure of the EDSA-bound lanes of North Avenue, from Elliptical Road up to Mindanao Avenue, will start on Thursday at 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Friday, the advisory said.
Motorists heading to EDSA are advised to take Quezon Avenue while vehicles going to Veterans Memorial Medical Center may take Quezon Avenue, then turn right to Agham Road to North Avenue.
The closure of the lanes will give way to Meralco's relocation of power lines, which are affected by the ongoing construction of the MRT7 Project.
On Thursday night, the Meralco Team will also work along Elliptical Road and East Avenue, wherein one lane of the said roads will be affected.
“The Task Force seeks the public’s understanding for the inconvenience that may be caused during the closure. Traffic enforcers will be deployed at the above mentioned working areas for assistance,” DOTr said. —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
